Design quality systems and tools

Practice in qualitative and quantitative research methods to track and evaluate social engagement activity specifically grant funded programmes, including the National Heritage Lottery Fund, Lottery Grant, New Opportunities Fund, Woodland Grant Scheme, Forestry Resources Grant and Peak Park Awards.


Examples include: Forest School Quality Improvement Framework, Development, Pilot, Mentoring and support schemes. Forest School Association and Forestry Commission; Quality Badge development and workshops, Council for Learning Outside the Classroom; Evaluation of the Forestry Resources Grant for the South Yorkshire Forest Lottery Funded Programme; Evaluation of the Stocksbridge Valley, Stone to Steel Lottery Grant funded project.


Develop skills, maintain and share technical expertise

Creatin training, learning and development mechanisms with a focus of the most suitable ‘delivery mix’ putting people at the heart of any work.


Examples include:

Visitor experience: Visitor Safety Management - Recently developing a suite of course with KNW training for Forestry England; previously as Safe and Enjoyable Visits, Recreation, Access and Safety and as the trainer provider for the Forestry Commission.


Volunteer Management: The design and delivery of 'Volunteer Management' workshops bringing new guidance around comprehensive management and delivery frameworks to life. Recent delivery of 2 day training events on Volunteer Management with KNW Training.


Design, development and delivery of new policy, procedures, guidance, dedicated workshops and roll out training for a range of activity areas and ensuring shared subject matter practice and includes; Catering Management, Customer Insight, Whole Site Assessments; Visitor Safety Management, Cycling and Wild Trails.


Developing and delivering a two-day staff conference for all staff of the Nene Park Trust, updating on practice and sharing directional themes of the 2020 Plan.
